J: Psychoanalysis

Including titles published between 1917 and 1948, this set presents an excellent overview of the development of the field of psychoanalysis during the first half of this century. Titles range in level, from the introductory What is Psychoanalysis? (1922) to comprehensive works such as Elements of Practical Psychoanalysis (1922) or The Psychoanalytic Theory of Neurosis (1946), and is studded with well-known scholars and includes The Trauma of Birth, by Otto Rank, as well as five titles by Karen Horney and two by Susan Isaacs. Three key works by Freud are also included: Leonardo da Vinci (1957), Totem and Taboo (1950) and Wit and its Relation to the Unconscious (1922).
