Finite-Element Modelling of Unbounded Media

Soil-structure interaction refers to the settlement of a structure caused by the consolidation of soil. This book examines three methods for analyzing dynamic unbounded medium-structure-interaction analysis--the consistent infinitesimal finite-element cell method; the damping-solvent extraction method; and the doubly-asymptotic multi-directional transmitting boundary.
