The Beings of "earth" had reached a level of power, which they did not yet know how to use. Who knows what actions and reactions those Beings would take if they were to discover that another force was affecting their lives. They could easily end up obliterating themselves and their blue planet with their gadgets. They most certainly would suspect each other first. Devastation of the blue planet had to be avoided at all costs if they were to succeed at saving their own. Confronting them in any way was considered to risky just yet.
