From 1959 to 1977, The Navy Lark sailed the airwaves as one of BBC Radio's longest-running comedy programs. Amongst the many stars who served time on HMS Troutbridge were John Pertwee, Leslie Phillips, Ronnie Barker, and Tenniel Evans.
