Receiving Grace: the story of a girl's return to faith

Nine-year-old Grace is stunned that the pointer on her new Ouija board is moving on its own. The letters keep repeating a mysterious man's name. Her mother demands that Grace never mention this name and erase it completely from her mind. It is 1969 when her mother dies and Grace loses her faith in the Catholic religion. It is a time of drugs, sexual liberation, and revolution that is changing the world, even in her hometown of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. None of it attracts Grace; instead, she finds power in the occult. Everything is beginning to work well for Grace in the 1970s, especially her tarot card reading business.

One day she receives a letter signed by the forbidden name she promised to forget. For many years, Grace has felt a presence lurking about her, but something stops it from getting close to her. Now, this entity is beginning to reveal itself. Why did her mother recognize this name? Did Grace awaken a dark force by turning away from her religion? What awaits her is beyond anything she could imagine.
