Lyla, Island Girl

Lyla, Island Girl is a children's book that explores the original and imaginative ideas hypothesized by a young Hawaiian girl's family. It proposes several theories to the existential question, "How did you get here, to this strange and wild world?" A tale of past generations exploring the idea of pilgramage to Earth, written with sentiment and guidance for the journey of the first child of their newest generation. This story brings Lyla across the world--one instant she is rising up from the sea, the next from the soil. She orbits around the moon, down from the sky, voyages in from a land of pirates, and travels through time from ancient Spain.
