McIlroys & Their Kin: McElroy, Lewis, Hyde, Hooker, McLean

McIlroys & Their Kin is the first book to be published about McIlroy genealogy in the past one hundred years. James Roland McIlroy focuses on some of the first McIlroys to come to America and includes information on related families like the McElroys, Lewises, Hydes, Hookers, and McLeans.

The author has studied McIlroy genealogy for over forty years and through a large amount of research, correspondence, and travel presents a thorough account of the family's history. The book includes unique features: family portraits, a copy of James McLroy's will, an attempt to prove the parents of John McElroy, and information from over eight thousand letters that Mr. McIlroy received from relatives.

McIlroys & Their Kin is a must-read for McIlroy genealogists and related families.
