Snowball The Humpback Whale

This book is about the annual 10,000 km or 6,214 mile journey the humpback whales make from the Antartica, along the east coast to the north Queensland in Australia. They travel to Australia during the migration time to breed.

This book is full of interesting facts like, the males sing and can be heard for more than 24 hours and a distance of 185kms or 115 miles. Their eating habits, there sleeping habits and much more.

It has some fantastic photos of showing you how whales look to see what and who is around them. It explains what the blow hole does, how they don't have teeth they have baleen. It also describes the towns they swim by and where they have the babies and what areas become the nurseries.
