Wallace Hill

Lady Vera Wallace's dying wish was for Harry Shore, the young man who has been like the grandson she never had, to marry Alice Melville, the niece she has never met. Though Harry is amused at the old lady's match-making, he has no intention of complying.

When he finally meets Alice, newly arrived from England, it is firmly decided. Nothing could be more unlikely as there is an instant clash of personalities.

Yet circumstance and unlucky coincidence side against them.

When both Alice and Harry wish for freedom from the other, the situation demands otherwise and they find themselves forced into an arranged marriage.

Will love ever grow in the midst of such animosity?
