The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer by KC Morcom is a wonderful book that connects readers with nature in a unique and refreshing manner using poems, pictures, illustrations, and short rhyming stories. The book is educational and informative and the bird species profiles and bird watching tips will interest all bird lovers and bird watchers. The book has been divided into two parts; the first one is The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer, and the second part is About Birds, and their ability to soar through the air will fascinate readers and will make them realize how even expert aviators are unable to match the natural skills of a bird. The section on Big Cats, Small Cats is equally interesting and informative and sheds light on the species.

The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer is a real treat for all readers who love nature and birds, and I like the way KC Morcom knits in the short stories, poems, pictures, and illustrations seamlessly. The formatting is aesthetic and reveals the creativity and imagination of the author. Usually, topics like this are dealt with in a methodical and structured manner, giving it a textbook feel but this is so exciting to read; the formatting, the presentation, the words, the pictures all contribute to the appeal of this book. The rhythmic narration, melodious voice, and the colorful pictures make this a must-have on bookshelves and in libraries because of the manner in which the information is conveyed. It is a good way to encourage readers to protect birds and animals and connect with nature and its charm in an entertaining way. The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer by K.C Morcom is a valuable, detailed work that shares heart-warming experiences and information about birds and nature. It begins with an account of a lost cockatiel. With cats roaming their neighborhood, Morcom fears for her daughter's lost bird. Other similar delightful experiences recount childhood and more recent events related to birds and nature. In the second part of the book, specific details about various birds such as budgerigars, peacocks, swallows, and tawny owls are discussed. The discussions include each bird's lifestyle habits, breeding, geographical distribution, related species, and an in-depth description of each bird. Bird watching tips and bird references are also included. Information about different species of big and small cat species is contained as well.

Each description in The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer is preceded by a colorful illustration of the bird which helps to identify it and recall details about it. I also loved the accounts included in the first part. They are poetic and they show engaging interactions between humans and birds and are also entertaining. The second part of the work is well-laid out and contains comprehensive information for each type of bird or cat included. Specific information is offered which taught me even more about each bird. Fascinating facts also appear such as a Hoopoe's strategies to ward off predators which include the ability to produce a strong, stinky odor. Reading about each cat's specific habits was also eye-opening. The Bird Whispers and the Bird Whisperer by K.C Morcom is a wonderful book that creates awareness of the need to protect birds and their habitats. It contains good information for any birder.
