Once upon a time, a young woman's true love was stolen away, and she must climb mountains, cross icy wastelands and brave the deep dark woods to find him and bring him home.

Greta is terrified to venture into the wide world, and her worst fears are realised when a witch saves her from drowning, only to bind her with a forgetting spell. Trapped within an endless summer curse, she has to learn the ways of the wise woman to remember her mission and figure out how to get away.

Back on her quest, she meets a raven she can communicate with, a princess with a true heart, a healer who wants to help, and a creature who knows where her beloved is. But there are dangers lurking in the deep dark woods - cruel men, unexpected accidents, a thief who'll happily kill her, and a challenge to who she is and all she holds dear. Will Greta be able to rescue her true love - or will she be the one who needs to be saved?
