Pappinbarra Flood

Have you experienced the sight of a river in flood? Kate lives in a small Australian country town. At the bottomof their property, the Pappinbarra River gently meanders through the peaceful valley. That is, until a mighty storm hits, swelling the river and blocking the roads to town. Kate and her 78 year old neighbour, Lil, have an unforgettable experience battling the storm, a swollen river and blood-sucking leeches, as they search for Lil's runaway cow, Briny.

....just as they reached the top of the hill panting and puffing, a sudden, deafening, clap of thunder peeled across the sky sending Briny into a fit of terror. As she jolted in fright, the rope jerked out of Lil's hands catching her off balance. Lil's boots gave way on the slippery mud. She went tumbling down the hill. Kate stared in horror as Lil disappeared over the steep ledge...
