Ideal of the Monastic Life Found in the Apostolic Age

Dom Germain Morin's classic study of the monastic life shows its foundations in the life of the first generation of Christians as described in the Acts of the Apostles. Drawing from his baptismal consecration, the monk does nothing more than live his Baptism to the full and draw from it the ultimate conclusions. This book makes it clear that, far from being a medieval invention, monastic life is grounded in the teaching of the apostles, and as such, is valid for every generation of Christians.
