Joellen Bard holds a BFA degree in painting and education from Pratt Institute and two master's degrees from Brooklyn College. In addition to a long teaching career, she has extensively exhibited her artwork to critical acclaim, and she wrote for Arts Magazine. Her book Tenth Street Days-The Co-ops of the 50s was cited in the New York Times as the impetus for a major art exhibit at NYU's Grey Art Gallery, Inventing Downtown, which ran from January to March, 2017. Mainly an art historian and art critic, this is Bard's first foray into storytelling. Enjoy!
