Sister Magdalena

Sister Magdalena is the first in a series of vampire novels that cover a span of over 800 years. It begins against the backdrop of 12th century Spain and the horrors of the inquisition. This volume follows the life of Isabel, the Heiress of Montenegro. Montenegro lies on the northern border of Spain, neighboring France. In the midst of the Third Crusade, the two nations are, on the surface, at peace under Christendom. But this is a time of political intrigue and betrayal. Layers of mortal schemes sit atop the machinations of the vampires that fester beneath. Isabel was born to priviledge and wanted for nothing. Yet it has been written, "The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away." We follow the degeneration of Isabel from an innocent child, through madness, into death, and beyond the grave to the monster she will become. Sink down into the darkness with me and experience this tragic tale.
