Esta nueva antologia literaria--dirigida a estudiantes del tercer o cuarto ano de un programa de espanol universitario--abarca poesia, prosa narrativa, drama y ensayo de autores espanoles, latinoamericanos, y latinos. Las lecturas estan organizadas cronologicamente y cada seleccion esta acompanada por una introduccion a su contexto historico y sus conexiones con otras obras. Redes proporciona un conocimiento basico de la historia literaria del mundo hispano ademas de una introduccion a los aspectos formales del analisis literario. This literary anthology--aimed at students in the third or fourth years of a university-level Spanish program--includes poetry, prose narrative, drama and essays by Spanish, Latin American and Latino authors. The readings are organized chronologically, and each selection is accompanied by an introduction to its historical context and its connections to other works. Mindy E. Badia is a professor of Spanish and international studies at Indiana University Southeast. She specializes in early modern Spanish literature and teaches a wide range of courses related to the language and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world.
Bonnie L. Gasior is a professor of Spanish and the NCAA Faculty Athletics Representative at California State University, Long Beach. She specializes in early modern and colonial Spanish-American literature and teaches advanced literature and culture courses at the BA and MA level.
