Praying the Lectionary, Cycle A: Prayers of the Church

This volume will be a lifesaver for any busy pastor who struggles to keep all of the balls in the air with the ever-increasing demands of being a parish pastor. The prayers in this book can be used as is or modified to local situations -- a real ti me-saver that will make weekly worship planning a litt le easier (and more enjoyable).

People find worship meaningful when it touches them on the level of their daily life. Our prayers, our music, our preaching and teaching must be sensiti ve to where people are, so that they can be led to a deeper level in their faith.

In Praying the Lecti onary, Pastor Wehrfritz-Hanson uses the Prayer of the Church (also referred to as Intercessions and Prayers of the People) as an integral part of Sunday worship in mainline churches.
