The Force and Support Costing (FSC) System is a set of models and databases that help analysts project the cost implications of proposed changes in the defense forces, infrastructure, and assets. The user interface and many of the models are implemented in Excel; most of the database resides on a network. The illustrated study projects effects on defense costs arising from the deactivation of an Army division. The FSC system allows the user to view the force structure in the current Army program, select the division to be cut, and specify when the deactivation will occur. In addition to stepping throught the specific procedures for the simulation, the authors show other ways FSC System can be used to analyze the cost effects of various policy actions.

Budget and Economic Outlook: An Update (August 2006)
NOTE: NO FURTHER DISCOUNT FOR THIS PRINT PRODUCT--OVERSTOCK SALE-- Significantly reduced list price while supplies last

The Congressional Budget Office (CBO) has updated its baseline budget projections for the coming decade. By statute, those projections must assume that current laws and policies remain in place. The baseline is therefore not intended to ber a prediction of future budgetary outcomes; instead, it is meant to serve as a neutral benchmark lawmakers can use to measure the effects of proposed changes to spending and revenues.

Economists, finacial planners, political scientists, lawmakers, accountants, coporate and small business personnel, government relations staff may be interested in these projections. Students pursuing coursework in political science and economics, specifically America's debt and growth sectors may be most interested in this volume.

Related products:

Congressional Budget Reports & Economic Analyses collection can be found here: https: //bookstore.gpo.gov/catalog/budget-economy/congressional-budget-reports-economic-analyses

Budget & the Economy resources collection can be found here: https: //bookstore.gpo.gov/catalog/budget-economy

Business & Finance resources collection can be found here: https: //bookstore.gpo.gov/catalog/business-finance

"
