It tells of Deganawidah, the Man from the North, celebrated even today as the Peacemaker, and his successful campaign to create a peaceful and prosperous society, where previously there had been only long years of violence and inter-tribal warfare. As we travel together through this great story, reliving its teachings, we hope to discover not only its revelatory power for our own lives and community, but what it has to say about the new confederacy of the planet that we're moving towards, a confederacy which honors the authenticity and the autonomy of each individual member, be it nation, state, tribe, or culture.
