This text thoughtfully addresses the question, What is an effective church? I know I'm reading a good book when I begin to look for my highlighter pen to remember significant points. I grabbed for it when I started the first chapter and used it throughout the book. This book is a winner. Gary approaches his subject from a rich background of personal experience, exhaustive research, and a forceful writing style. I found myself continuously challenged as I read the book.
