This is the information age, complete with networking computers, global communications, and cleverly packaged ideas. Our heads spin dizzily as claims, counterclaims, hype, and hoopla attempt to change opinions, reinforce beliefs, or convert the skeptical. This flood of information so overwhelms some that they can no longer make sense of it. Content to muddle through, they rely on beliefs, opinions, and vague impressions acquired from family, friends, social or religious groups, and the media.
