Salamander's Furnace

Maxine is angry, and for good reason!

She has lost people she loves, endured horror, and learned that anger can keep the world at a safe distance. But then her dreams take her to a strange stone furnace, where an enormous, ugly salamander threatens to burn her alive.

To escape the furnace, Maxine must discover what lies beneath her anger - difficult feelings she would much rather keep hidden. Slowly, she learns that difficult feelings are not enemies to be defeated, but experiences that can be faced, understood and survived.
