Boston, 1950/1964. Psychic Nicole Rossi races across two timelines to prevent a tragedy, one she may have unintentionally caused, in this sequel to North End Girl (2025). When mystery woman Lila Laroche is tried for kidnapping, the star witness, Nicole's friend Pat Messina, disappears without a trace. Has Lila orchestrated the kidnapping from her jail cell or are other players and motives involved? Enter Lila's debonair brother Gerard Dubois, who quickly becomes the prime suspect in the disappearance. While hopes for finding Pat alive begin to fade, Nicole must use her powers, including a new one, temporal projection, in a last-ditch effort to save her. As the history and culture of Boston come alive in both timelines, the characters hurtle toward a destiny that may be as slippery as time itself.
