"Bad dog!" That's what the owner of the house calls me sometimes. I hope the new kid, Jerry, doesn't think I'm bad just because I ate one of his cookies. I want us to become best friends. Bubba doesn't mean to be bad. Take the strongest magnetic force you can imagine and the nails it attracts. The aroma of human food does that to his nose. That's what happened during Pet Day at school. When he smelled Jerry's Chinese snack, he listened to the voice inside that said, "Quick, exchange his snack for yours." The next sound he heard was, "Arf," and it came from Jerry. When he heard "Bùhǎo gǒu-bad dog!" spill out of his own mouth, what little tail he has dropped between his wobbly legs. How can this be? He quivered. Can Bubba figure out how to get their voices changed back by Friday in order for Jerry to sing at the karaoke party? Will Jerry forgive him? Will it be enough to save his new friendship? Bubba calls on Princess, the wise cat of the household. Her plan includes the collaboration of a unique team of housemates. In Chinese Exchange, Bubba learns the importance of following the good inner voice in order to become a trustworthy friend. But is it too late?
