Set largely in Richmond, Virginia, these 27 interlinked stories follow Levy Bahm as he navigates education, love, race, work, drink and violence, and strives to understand his place in a universe that is mostly uncaring yet still somehow beautiful.

X.C. Atkins is an alumnus of Virginia Commonwealth University. This is his first collection of short stories. He currently works as a bartender in Los Angeles.
