Set in the tumultuous year of 1983, in the middle of a brutal war between Iran and Iraq that would ultimately claim over one million Iranian lives, Goodbye Iran is the true story of two young men, Hossein and Hamid, and a woman, Afsaneh, who decide to escape from the repressive and institutionalized land of their birth in search of a better life.
