Lynn Turner Smith, Ph.D. was born in the small town of Pineville, Kentucky at the foot of Pine Mountain. Life in Pineville was beautiful. It smelled of cypress and pear trees. It was woven with family and church and friends. And it was anchored by Lynn's Mama-her gentle, strong presence and her rich faith in God-a God which held the family together until one night, He took Lynn's Mama away, leaving behind two stunned little girls.
