How long will the United States stay afloat after the Fortune 500 leave the country? Why would so many powerful corporations abandon America? The answers begin to unfold when former U.S. Senator Charlie Connolly is asked to negotiate a landmark deal with the Prime Minister of a foreign country. Stunned by the request, Charlie recruits two former aides: Delsi Kimberly-a brilliant MIT graduate, economist, and staunch capitalist; and Robert Devins-a top constitutional attorney and a loyal left thinker. The two disagree on practically everything, but alongside Charlie they expose the truth about a nation in the throes of decline, and discover that the president has a different form of government planned for America's future.
