Reviving America: A Civic Discussion Framework

Reviving America, is a non-fiction, comparative critique of how today's America's foundational democratic ideals have changed from their inception 250 years ago, along with practical discussion frameworks and possible solutions for addressing any gaps that may be present. It has been written to help provide an alternative to the increasing political politization of the Country's citizens/processes. It is hoped that this effort will help lead to more civil, productive discourse as to the reasons for these gaps and to increase the possibility of politically sound reforms where necessary.

'Reviving America' comingles four [4] interconnected approaches:

1. A Review of Foundational Ideals to Establish a Standard
2. The Application of Systems Thinking to Identify Key Components of American Society
3. The Development of a Human Energy Scale to Measure Performance
4. Gap Analysis to Suggest Possible Fixes, As Appropriate

On the occasion of its upcoming 250^th birthday, it would seem like an appropriate time to take stock of how well, or not, America has lived up to its Founders' aspirations. I believe that America's Founders, in their development of a bold, new, democratically oriented government, realized that the ultimate sustainability of that government would in large part rest in the hands of an informed, involved citizenry. Benjamin Franklin's comment "It's a Republic, if you can keep it", captures the essence of that concern, in my opinion. An unpublished work, "IT'S A REPUBLIC....IF YOU CAN KEEP IT" A Discussion Framework for Reviving America, is one citizen's suggested discussion framework in attempting to do just that.
