This book encompasses the entire cycle of man's spiritual journey. It opens with the historical account of Mephibosheth in which we see by means of biblical typology, God's pursuit of man in redemption. The book concluded with a historical account of Asaph in which we see man's pursuit of God in revival. The goal of both, redemption and revival, is to bring man into the abiding presence of God where the two might continually commune together in intimate pleasure. It is necessary to understand that the pleasure of God's company can be enjoyed and experienced in the present. It is God's eternal purpose that every man enjoys personal intimacy with Him, "face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend" (Exodus 33:11).
For those seeking to experience a personal relationship with God, this book examines the means whereby it is possible!
