Stepping up to Fluency 2: A Systematic Stuttering Therapy Program for SLPs

This innovative program will enable your stuttering clients to produce consistently fluent speech in any therapy environment - schools, hospitals, clinics, or private practice. Two levels of programming are provided (grades K - 3^rd and 4^th through adult) with age-appropriate and high interest materials.

You will teach your clients five targets needed to manage stuttering:

• Full Breath to sustain a short sentence

• Easy Onset in initiating words beginning with vowels

• Continuous Speech to eliminate choppiness

• Light Contact on initial consonant sounds

• Phrasing groups of words together

  Regular charting of each client's performance provides systematic reinforcement and feedback for clinician and client alike. Readings, monologues, and carry-over activities center on the interests of the client, making the program highly motivating for individuals of all ages.

Stepping Up To Fluency 2 was developed using 40 years of this author's experience working with stuttering clients age four through 51. It is her 4^th book.
