Zax and the Three Beasts

There are many forms of power-money, strength, politics, fame. But there is only one form of absolute power-the power derived from pure energy.

Now, what would happen if the power of pure energy was given to a teenage boy? It happened to Zax.

From the time Zax could remember, his parents had refused to let him come in contact with high-tech-even at school. According to other kids, he was "not up to date." No one wanted to be his friend. Then a new girl showed up in school, and, in a desperate attempt to finally have a friend, he decided to defy his parents' longstanding rule. She offered him her phone, and he took it. Suddenly he felt the presence of a strange new sensation deep inside his consciousness-the sensation of power. It was derived from pure energy. And immediately, the world as he knew it changed forever.

The question was-would he survive it?
