Twelve-year-old Gypsy Sharpe wasn't too worried about starting high school, but that was before her foster sister moved out. Before her best friend started acting as though she'd been sucked into an alternate dimension. Before she noticed the absence of monkey bars in the (so-called) school playground. That was before glamorous nightmare Mahalia Maher sashayed out of the shadows to sabotage Gypsy's carefully-laid plans. The only thing to do is get happily lost in her favourite Aussie Sci-fi TV show - the setting for a magical universe where alternate realities exist, evil is easy to spot and friends are always loyal. But how long can Gypsy hide from her problems before this reality raises its complicated head?
