This personal collection of Sheila's poems goes behind closed doors to share some of the darkest times in her teens and 20s, to highlight that we are not alone in the way we think.

This intimate body of work, which extends her writing into adulthood, highlights Sheila's journey through her own counselling to manage her mental illness, and her transformative path to becoming a counsellor herself who continues to help others.

Sheila's anthology also includes poems about special events, people, and places that have inspired her during her lifetime.

Ultimately, Sheila hopes that by sharing this selection of her poems, especially those penned in her darkest times of depression, she can give others who find themselves struggling hope and encouragement to find a way through.
