Walking an Ancient Path to a Future

On the morning of Tuesday 11th April 2023, Lya Vollering begins walking the 1,800km pilgrimage trail known as the Via Francigena, from Canterbury to Rome.

Following this ancient path through the world at a pre-industrial pace, Lya is woven into the tapestry of life that surrounds and sustains us - a landscape that reflects back our own joy and gratitude, folly and disconnection.

Insightful, compassionate, funny, and always realistic, Walking an Ancient Path... is a challenge, an exhortation, and a question: which future are we walking towards?
