Finding Charlotte

This sweeping new biography-turned-novel follows the events of one family across 100 years, born from the author's search for the truth hidden behind a handful of old photographs.

Charlotte grew up in the slums of York, and George in the respectable coastal terraces of Scarborough. Little did they, or their families, know quite how their stories would intertwine one day. A hundred years later, when the author was going through old photographs, a single familiar face sparked a question that had never been asked...

And so began an investigation, and writing process, that would delve deep into the lives and tales of characters who have been lost to the tides of history. In what promises to be a read of reflection, mystery, discovery, and revelations, the narrative pieces together a past that can finally be put back together.

This is a tale that attempts to uncover the real story behind the documents and photographs that were preserved in a little beige bag for 100 years, revealing the family threads and fables that survived against all odds.
