Mum's Egg Roll

My Mum's Egg Roll is a warm and whimsical collection of illustrated poems that celebrates the small, unforgettable moments of childhood. From slow Sunday breakfasts and playful days outdoors to bedtime giggles and quiet family moments, each poem captures a scene that feels familiar, joyful and full of heart.

Written by Claire Martinez Falconer and beautifully illustrated in full colour by Spanish artist Paula González Berzal, this book blends gentle humour, rhythm and imagination to introduce children to the pleasure of poetry. The language is musical and inviting, making the poems ideal for reading aloud, sharing in the classroom, or enjoying together at home.

Each poem is paired with a vibrant illustration, and the large-format hardcover edition gives the artwork space to shine on every page. The result is a book that feels both literary and visual - a keepsake as much as a reading experience.

Designed for children aged 7 to 12, My Mum's Egg Roll also appeals to younger listeners and adults who appreciate thoughtful, beautifully crafted children's books. It is well suited to homes, schools and libraries, and works especially well as a gift book that can be returned to again and again.

This is a celebration of everyday family life, curiosity and imagination - a poetry book created to be read aloud, shared, and treasured.
