The English Qur'an
A Clear, Faithful and Modern Translation

For over fourteen centuries, the Qur'an has been recited, memorised, and preserved with extraordinary care. Its words have guided hearts, shaped civilisations, and remain a living source of reflection and guidance for millions across the world.

The English Qur'an presents the Qur'an in clear, natural British English, allowing the reader to encounter its message with understanding and immediacy while remaining fully faithful to the original Arabic text.

Every verse has been translated with discipline, precision, and deep responsibility. The language is modern yet respectful, direct yet dignified, reflecting the tone and structure of the Qur'an itself. The translation avoids unnecessary complexity so that the meaning can be read with clarity while preserving the gravity and balance of the original revelation.

This edition presents the Qur'an without commentary inserted within the verses, allowing the reader to engage directly with the words themselves.

Prepared with care and scholarly discipline, this work seeks to make the Qur'an accessible to contemporary readers while remaining faithful to its enduring message.
