Beneath a Starless Sky: Book One of the Aeorn Chronicles

Joe has spent his whole life being told he is less than. Less than human. Less than holy. Less than worthy.

As a goblin in the Sovenreign Empire, his choices have always been simple: die in someone else's war, break his back in a mine, or scrape coin from the jobs no-one else will take. When word reaches him of a wild frontier where every blade is welcome, Joe takes his twin swords and sails for the Heartlands Expanse - a savage, untamed continent of jungle, dinosaurs, and ancient ruin.

But the Heartlands are hiding something old. Something hungry.

Logging parties are vanishing. The dead are rising from the earth, their empty sockets burning with a cold blue light. Scattered across the jungle floor lie the pieces of a secret so dangerous that the gods themselves buried it - a truth about Aeorn's past that the Empire's church would burn cities to keep silent.
