Space Between: A Select Your Own HKL Quest - Book Two

The Space Between

A Select Your Own HKL Quest - Book 2

Alex has a seat at every table - and a home at none of them.

Gamers, athletes, tech kids - Alex fits in everywhere, just enough, with everyone. No group claims Alex as their own, and most days that feels less like freedom and more like being lost in the middle of a crowd.

Then a crooked poster on a telephone pole catches Alex's eye: three words in green letters - Humility. Kindness. Love. The HKL movement has come to Red Deer, and somehow, it feels like it's speaking directly to Alex.

At the same time, Alex notices someone else who doesn't fit anywhere - a classmate named Sam, increasingly isolated and increasingly a target. As the pressure on Sam builds toward a breaking point, Alex has to decide what "belonging everywhere" is actually good for. Speaking up costs something. Staying silent costs more.

You decide what Alex does next.

With 30 different endings - ten of them Best Endings - every choice leads somewhere different. There are no wrong paths, only different discoveries about who you are and who you want to become.

Set in Red Deer, Alberta, and developed in partnership with the HKL Red Deer Chapter, The Space Between explores what it means to live out Humility, Kindness, and Love when it's easiest not to - and what it costs to stay in the space between action and silence.

Perfect for ages 12 and up - youth groups, mentoring relationships, classrooms, and personal reading. A free companion Facilitator's Guide is available at www.madministries.ca/resources.
