Where'd everybody go?

Twenty-one to forty-five-year-old armed forces members, police officers, and intelligence agents (our intended protectors) are going missing everywhere. Seemingly 'taken' out of strange agrarian communes popping up all over the planet. Now, Agent Bart, fresh out of retirement, is determined to solve the mystery of these disappearances and get his people back.

Scarcity is a speculative fiction novel that explores the ramifications of a world in transition (from economic uncertainty to certainty) and how our old-guard authorities might deal with such progress, not to mention a world tending away from any need for them at all. The speculative elements of Scarcity are presented to the reader in a fast-paced adventure story as thrilling as it is evocative.
