Our Waiting is God's Working

" In many ways, what you let God do in you during this wait is a vital piece of what He will do through you when your child comes home.""He will impart to you strength beyond measure, so that all you need... is all that you have...and all that you have...is more than enough."Waiting...Delayed gratification...These activities are probably not on most people's bucket list. Before we discount them altogether, maybe we just need to reframe them. With eyes wide open, we are likely to find many hidden treasures along the way. In Christ, we have already been lavished with the costliest and most precious gift of all! Once orphans, (yes, were all orphans until Christ rescued us!) we are now royal sons and daughters of the Almighty because Christ allows us to exchange our dirty rags for His royal robes. Truly, is there anything better than going from orphan status to child of the King status?!If you are considering reading this book, you are probably in some stage of waiting in your adoption journey, or in your life. My hope and prayer in writing this book is multifaceted: May this time be so much more than words on a page.I pray that this devotional book will illuminate the height and the depth of our Savior's love for you- like only His Spirit can do. It is written in ordered sections, but you will want to approach each section with your Bible and notebook in hand, giving yourself the freedom of time (more or less) as you feel is needed. Some sections might encourage your soul, while others might lead to soul-searching challenge and conviction. Humbly approach each day in bold expectancy on His Spirit to work, confident that you can wait intently on Him- while at the same time-also waiting for your precious child. Everybody's footprint and parenting journey is uniquely different, but each one shares challenges and victories.
