About this book
The Five Day Week is a beautiful story about an 8 year old girl named Elena who decides that she much prefers the free time of weekends to the school filled regimen of weekdays. To achieve her fantasy of less school, Elena cleverly persuades her entire school, including the Principal, that a Five Day Week is simply better for everyone. Just as the entire school is about to celebrate the wonderful invention of the Five Day Week, Elena is suddenly struck with great remorse for the days she has eliminated. Read as Elena comes to the realization that every single day is important!
