On Four Fronts With The Royal Naval Division (1918)

On Four Fronts With The Royal Naval Division is a memoir written by Geoffrey Sparrow, a British soldier who served in the Royal Naval Division during World War I. The book details Sparrow's experiences on the Western Front, in Gallipoli, in Egypt, and in the trenches of Flanders. Sparrow provides a firsthand account of the horrors of war, describing the brutal conditions soldiers faced in the trenches and the toll that the constant fighting took on their mental and physical health. He also discusses the camaraderie and brotherhood that developed among the soldiers, as well as the bravery and heroism displayed by his fellow servicemen. The memoir provides a unique perspective on the war, as the Royal Naval Division was made up of sailors who had been transferred to the army, rather than traditional soldiers. Overall, On Four Fronts With The Royal Naval Division is a gripping and poignant account of one man's experience of the First World War.This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
