Satires of Persius, Tr. by W. Drummond

A new translation of the satires of Persius, a Roman poet and satirist of the 1st century CE. "The Satires of Persius" offers a window into Roman society and thought. Known for their dense and complex style, Persius's poems critique the morals and manners of his time. This English translation by W. Drummond makes Persius accessible to a modern audience, preserving the wit and intellectual rigor of the original Latin. A valuable resource for students of classical literature and anyone interested in the history of satire.
