Bible Myths and Their Parallels in Other Religions

Bible Myths and their Parallels in other Religions is a book written by T. W. Doane that explores the similarities between stories, myths, and symbols found in the Bible and those in other religions. The author argues that many of the stories and symbols in the Bible are not unique to Christianity but have been borrowed or adapted from earlier religions. The book covers a range of topics, including the creation story, the flood, the virgin birth, the crucifixion, and the resurrection, and compares them to similar stories found in ancient Egyptian, Greek, and Hindu religions, among others. The book also delves into the history of religion and the development of Christianity, providing a critical analysis of the Bible and its teachings. Overall, Bible Myths and their Parallels in other Religions is a thought-provoking and controversial book that challenges traditional Christian beliefs and offers a new perspective on the origins of religion.1882.
