Popol Vuh: The Mythic and Heroic Sagas of the Kiches of Central America

Popol Vuh is a collection of mythical and heroic sagas that are central to the Kiches, one of the indigenous peoples of Central America. The book is a translation of the original Kiche text, which was written in the 16th century, and includes stories of creation, the exploits of the hero twins Hunahpu and Xbalanque, and the history of the Kiche people. The book also includes an introduction by Lewis Spence, a Scottish author and folklorist, who provides context and analysis of the stories. This edition of Popol Vuh is a valuable resource for anyone interested in the mythology and folklore of Central America.1908. The Popol Vuh is the new world's richest mythological mine.
