Breviarium Anagrammaticum: Latin Hymns Of The Breviary And Other Latin Hymns Of The Early Church Tur

Breviarium Anagrammaticum is a book of Latin hymns from the Breviary and other early Christian sources that have been transformed into metrical anagrams. Written by Walter Begley, the book features a unique approach to translating these hymns, where the original Latin words are rearranged to form new words and phrases that still retain the original meaning. This creates a playful and challenging reading experience for those familiar with Latin and an opportunity to discover the hidden meanings within these sacred texts. The book includes an introduction by the author, explaining his process and the history of anagrams, as well as a glossary of terms and a comprehensive index of the original hymns. Breviarium Anagrammaticum is a fascinating exploration of language and spirituality, and a must-read for anyone interested in the intersection of the two. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
