Broken Cistern And The Springing Well: Or The Difference Between Head Notions, And Heart Religion; V

""The Broken Cistern And The Springing Well"" is a religious book written by William Huntington in 1800. The book explores the difference between having mere head knowledge of religion, and having a true heart-felt relationship with God. Huntington argues that there is a vast difference between having a superficial understanding of religious concepts and truly embracing them in one's heart. He also discusses the importance of sound doctrine in religious practice, as opposed to empty and meaningless religious jargon. The title of the book refers to a metaphorical broken cistern, which represents an incomplete and inadequate understanding of religion, versus a springing well, which represents a deep and fulfilling spiritual connection with God. Overall, the book serves as a call to action for readers to seek a genuine and meaningful relationship with God, rather than settling for superficial religious practices. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
