Uninterrupted Succession Of The Ecclesiastical Mission Asserted (1717)

The Uninterrupted Succession of the Ecclesiastical Mission Asserted is a book written by Benjamin Hoadly and published in 1717. The book argues for the continuity of the Christian Church's mission and authority from the time of the apostles to the present day. Hoadly defends the idea that the Church's mission is not dependent on any particular individual or hierarchy, but rather is based on the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. He also argues against the idea of apostolic succession, which holds that the authority of the Church is derived from a direct line of succession from the apostles. Hoadly's book was controversial at the time of its publication, as it challenged traditional views of Church authority and hierarchy. However, it had a significant influence on the development of Protestant theology and the understanding of the Church's mission and authority. And The Appeal, In The Preservative Against The Principles And Practices Of The Non-Jurors, Etc.
